Kim So yeon is best known as a television actress, primarily on the series
All About Eve and
Iris. She also appeared in the Hong Kong film
Seven Swords in 2005 and has been acting since 1994.
9. Kim Yoo Jin (김유진, 金楢真)
Kim Yoo Jin, known as Eugene in English, is a singer, actress, and
emcee. She made her debut in 1997 as part of the popular female group
S.E.S. Since 2002, she’s released two solo albums, has been featured in
several TV series and films, written a couple of books and has hosted
numerous festivals and award shows.
8. Han Ga-In (한가인, 韩佳人)
Han Ga-In is a model and actress. She made her acting debut in 2000 on the series
Sunshine Hunting. Her popularity rose after appearing in the popular drama series

Jeon Ji-hyun is yet another actress and model. Her career began in
1997 as a television actress, but quickly moved on to films. Her

time. In 2009, she made her English-language film debut when she starred
as Saya in
Blood: The Last Vampire.
6. Lee Da-hae (이다해, 李多海)
Lee Da-hae is known primarily for her work in TV. She made her debut in 2002 on the drama
Ling Ling and has since appeared in the series
My Girl and
Green Rose.
She’s also dabbled in dance and music, and can be seen in several music
videos and ads throughout Asia. She’s set to make her film debut in the
3D Korean movie
Song of Spring.
5. Son Ye-Jin (손예진, 孫藝珍)
Son Ye-jin is one of the most popular actresses in not only South
Korea, but also Asia. She made a name for herself in 2001 as the lead in
the series
Delicious Proposal. She’s also appeared in the series
Sun-hee and Jin-hee, and
Daemang: Great Ambition. She’s also found success in film with the movies
Chi-hwa-seon,

Kim Hee-sun is popularly known as the “first beauty of South Korea”.
She’s also perhaps the most well known actress in South Korea, mainland
China, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. She’s been acting in film and
television since 1994 and starred alongside Jackie Chan in the 2005 film
The Myth.
3. Kim Tae Hee (김태희, 金泰希)
Kim Tae-hee is an actress and model best known for appearing in TV series, such as,
My Princess,
Iris,
Love Story in Harvard and
Stairway to Heaven. But, her career began as a model and being featured in commercials. In 2006, she landed her first starring role in a film in

2. Lee Hyori (이효리, 李孝利)
Lee Hyori is a R&B/hip-hop singer and actress. She found fame in
1998 as part of the pop girl group Fin.K.L. Her first solo album was

in South Korea alone and nearly swept the 2003 Daesangs (the most
prestigious South Korean music award). She’s released three more albums,
appeared in some TV series and co-hosted several variety shows.

Jeans.
1. Song Hye-kyo (송혜교, 宋慧喬)
Song Hye-kyo is arguably the most famous Korean actress in Asia. Her
rise to stardom began in 1996 when she won the Grand Prize in model
search in SunKyung Smart. She quickly move on to acting with the drama
Merry Morning. She has since gained more popularity through television dramas such as
Autumn in My Heart (2000),
All In (2003), and
Full House
(2004). Song is also one of the most in-demand product endorsers in
Korea appearing as a spokesperson for Nintendo DS, McDonalds and Levi’s.
